Here at Mr. LAND, we are endlessly grateful to our wonderful clients, all of whom have been some of the kindest and most down-to-earth people we have had the pleasure of working with. They come from all walks of life and from all corners of the world, but they all share one thing in common: a deep appreciation for Japan and its culture.
Over the years, we have helped our clients navigate the complexities of the Japanese real estate market and guided them to the welcoming doors of their dream homes. But for us, this has never been simply a transaction. As we carefully considered each client’s preferences and took the time to understand their unique stories, many of these relationships grew into connections that extended far beyond the traditional agent-client dynamic. Even today, several of our agents and clients remain in touch, occasionally sharing a meal together or exchanging thoughtful emails filled with life updates.
It is thanks to the trust and support of these clients that we at Mr. LAND continue to provide the highest standard of real estate services to international home buyers from around the world. As a token of our appreciation to everyone who has been part of our journey, we decided to organize a special day dedicated to giving back.
Mr. LAND’s very first Client Appreciation Day was held on Saturday, May 23, in Sammu, Chiba Prefecture. Invitations had been sent out several months in advance, and we were delighted to receive many enthusiastic responses. Unfortunately, as the event drew nearer, several guests fell ill due to the unpredictable weather. Nevertheless, we were incredibly thankful for the ten clients who were able to join us.
The day was filled with memorable experiences, beautiful sights, and, of course, plenty of delicious food.
The day began in the bright early hours of the morning in Marunouchi, where the Global Sales Division team welcomed their clients and escorted them onto the chartered bus. After a round of introductions and a brief overview of the day’s itinerary, we were off.
Originally, the schedule included a hands-on farming experience at Mr.LAND’s very own farm in Sammu, Chiba Prefecture. However, as heavy rain had fallen the day before, we decided it would be best to cancel the activity rather than inconvenience clients with an hour of harvesting vegetables in muddy conditions.
Fortunately, the alternative morning activity proved to be just as enjoyable. The group made a stop at Michi-no-Eki Kurimoto Benikomachi no Sato, where everyone was given an hour to explore the shops and local vendors. From freshly harvested vegetables and regional specialties to delicious snacks prepared right on the spot, there was something for everyone to enjoy. By the time it was time to board the bus again, nearly everyone had a bag full of treats and souvenirs to take home.
We arrived at the main venue, THE FARM in Chiba Prefecture, just in time for lunch. Spanning a vast area, THE FARM offers a variety of attractions, including camping grounds, outdoor activities such as ziplining, and, of course, barbecue facilities.
Once everyone had been assigned a table, it was straight to the grills. Agents and clients alike worked together to prepare the feast, slicing meat and vegetables and getting the barbecue fires going. Before long, the savory aroma of grilled food filled the air, accompanied by the sound of laughter and lively conversation. Stories were shared, delicious dishes passed around, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to relax and get to know one another in a more casual setting.
After everyone had eaten their fill, it was time for the games portion of the event. Guests took part in three activities—This or That, Social Bingo, and Group Charades. Hilarity and friendly competition ensued, with plenty of laughter echoing throughout the venue. Prizes were awarded to the winners, but perhaps the greatest reward was seeing everyone work together and have fun, regardless of nationality or whether they were clients or agents. It was a wonderful reminder of how shared experiences can bring people together.
Finally came the highlight of the day—the live calligraphy demonstration by Mr. LAND’s very own calligraphy master, Jun Nishijima. Jun, the head of the Human Resources Department, has trained in the art of Japanese calligraphy for many years and graciously agreed to showcase his talents at Mr. LAND’s first Client Appreciation Day.
Each client was invited to choose a Japanese phrase or word from a curated list, and Jun carefully brought their selections to life on shikishi boards right before their eyes. These personalized pieces were presented as gifts—a token of our gratitude for their continued support and for taking the time to join us for the event.
We ended the day with a group photo to commemorate the occasion, followed by hugs and heartfelt goodbyes among old acquaintances and newly forged friendships. Several clients remarked on how well the Mr. LAND team worked together and how warmly they had been welcomed throughout the day. We are truly honored to have received such kind words, but it is only thanks to clients like them that we were able to host an event like this in the first place.
Mr. LAND’s first-ever Client Appreciation Day was not only an opportunity to express our gratitude, but also a reminder of the meaningful relationships we have built over the years. What began as a shared journey toward finding a home in Japan has blossomed into a community united by a love for the country and the people who call it home.
As we continue to grow, Mr. LAND remains committed to providing the highest level of service to international home buyers around the world. More importantly, we hope to continue fostering the friendships and connections that make what we do so rewarding.
